Galbraith Consulting Ltd	We need to recruit a principal engineer to plug the gap between our supervising engineers and our engineers and graduates. The particular need is for an experienced and competent offshore structural engineer familiar with the industry types of software (we use ASAS-NL and ABAQUS) and the design and assessment of offshore structures. The duties will include supervision of junior engineers, liaison with clients, preparation of reports, analyses and design. We expect familiarity with analytical techniques including non-linear methods; UK and international standards and practice for offshore steel structures; and with QA/QC procedures. Knowledge of concrete, explosion analyses and drilling and well structures would be an advantage.
